Ordering information
Please observe our General Terms and Conditions of Business as the legal basis for the conclusion of a contract.
Our web shop enables you to order selected products from our Domshop in der Stephanskirche zu Wien (St. Stephen’s cathedral shop, Vienna) for global shipping.
Our web shop is intended exclusively for consumers. Please contact us directly for orders from corporate customers.
Your personal details are transmitted via a secure SSL-certified web connection. Your details are used exclusively to process your order and will not be passed on to any third parties.
Payments by credit card are processed at out web shop using a professional multi-payment platform, mPAY24 www.mpay24.com. Your credit card details are transmitted directly to mPAY24 via the integrated interface and will under no circumstances be stored on our server.
How to place your order:
Select the chosen product from the item overview page by clicking on the product description or image. The detailed page for the product will be then displayed, and you will be able to edit the default quantity (1) in the “quantity” field. Clicking “Add to basket” places your selection in the shopping basket, and you can then continue shopping by selecting further products from the item overview page. The contents of your basket will be stored on the website for the duration of your visit, and you can modify or delete them later on.
You reach the next step of the ordering process by clicking on the “Display basket and proceed to checkout” link, which is displayed under “Your shopping basket” on the item overview page.
1. Shopping basket:
You can view and modify the contents of your shopping basket at any time by clicking the “Display basket” link. In the tabular view of the products in your shopping basket, you can change the quantity or remove a product from your shopping basket. The total amount of your order, including VAT but excluding shipping costs will be displayed at the end of the list.
After you have entered your address, the shipping costs will be calculated according to the weight of your order and the destination country, and will be displayed in the “Check order details” step before you confirm your order.
To proceed with your order, select the next step, “Proceed to step 2: address”.
From this step onwards, data transmission is in secure mode (https://), and all entered data is transmitted in SSL-encrypted form.
2. Address
In step 2 of the order you will be prompted to enter your address details. The online ordering process can only continue when you have entered all the required information, including your e-mail address, as the confirmation and invoice are sent to this e-mail address when the order has been completed. The invoice will be issued to the recipient at the billing address given.
You can enter an alternative delivery address by changing the default setting “Delivery address same as billing address”. Your order and invoice will then be sent to the delivery and billing addresses you enter. The shipping costs will be calculated in the next step, “Check order details”, according to the selected shipping country.
3. Check order details
In step 3 of the ordering process all details of your order, the products, the shipping costs, and the billing and delivery address will be displayed, allowing you to check these details for any errors. To correct your entries, please use the “Back to address details” function. The details you have already entered will remain saved.
The shipping costs are calculated on the basis of weight and shipping country; items are generally shipped by registered letter or parcel post with advice of receipt. Please note that your order may incur additional costs charged by third parties (e.g. custom duty and import sales tax).
To place your order at our web shop, you must have acknowledged and accepted our General Terms and Conditions of Business as the basis of your order. After agreeing by confirming the field “I have read and accept the General Terms and Conditions of Business”, the next step, “Continue to step 4: payment” can be selected.
4. Payment
You choose your payment method in step 4, by selecting either the prepayment or the credit card payment option..
Please note that your order will be placed when you have entered your payment details.
In the case of prepayment, please transfer the outstanding invoiced amount within 21 days, as we will otherwise be obliged to cancel your order. When making a bank transfer, please always cite your invoice number which is listed together with the bank details in step 5, order confirmation. A summary of your order and the invoice will immediately be sent to the e-mail address provided by you as your billing address.
In the case of credit card payment, your details will be transferred securely and verified in real time, and the invoiced amount will be debited from your bank account. We will not store your credit card details. The invoice will be sent immediately to the e-mail address you provided as your billing address
5. Confirmation
After successful placement of your order, the order and contract confirmation will be displayed in step 5. This includes your invoice number, the bank account details if you have chosen prepayment, and information regarding further processing of your order. A summary of your order, including the invoice, will be sent immediately to the e-mail address you provided as your billing address.
6. Shipping
As sufficient stocks of the items sold by the Domshop are always held, goods are generally shipped within five working days of placement of your order.
In the case of credit card payment: immediately after placement of the order.
In the case of prepayment: on receipt of your payment on our account.
Depending on the size of your order, items are shipped either by registered letter or parcel post with advice of receipt.
7. Right of withdrawal
Customers who are consumers in the meaning of the Consumer Protection Act may withdraw from an online contract within 14 calendar days of receipt of the shipped goods, or of conclusion of the contract in the case of services. Please see our General Terms and Conditions of Business (GTC) for further information.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the warranty period is 24 months for all technical devices and parts delivered by us. Please see our (GTC) for further information.
The purchaser must inform the seller in writing of any defects immediately, or within two weeks at the latest. Please see our (GTC) for further information.
